A option on the path tool to make it a arrow where on side has a arrow hread at the other end, like microsofts arrow tool

The new canal objects are fine but placing them down is a little tedious. Could we maybe incorporate the path drawing tools with that object to make it easier?

How about an update that would allow us to draw clipping masks of our own? Either vector- or bitmap based (or both ;-) That would be the „natural“ way instead of puzzling around with the premade shapes :)

Increase the maximum path blur radius to 200 to facilitate painting lighting and shadows. Making a gradient across a large space is highly time-consuming and the individual paths are more visible with lower radii of blur.

Allow the user to snap to the end/beginning/waypoint of an already drawn path. Merging would also allow to make one item of two, avoiding superposition of colours.

Use the pathtool for lighting, shadowing and the shifting of color/texture. Allow to set the minimum and maximum transparency range for a path and then assigned the starting side. The end result would be paths that can be used in ways that reflect light, shadows, and distance on a map. Either draw in your own sun rays, have a regional path fade into the horizon, or create minute landscape color changes utilizing the hue filter.

We need to be able to draw paths with a defined texture or alpha texture, and not just a fixed color. Thix could be useful to have more realistics roads or pathways.

The ability do draw a line that can intelligently place stamps, textures, or others around it. For example, I could draw a line and ask it to place X stamp at X intervals with a size, rotation, whatever, and maybe also give it an <x,y> distance from the drawn line. This way, I could for example place a long line of hedges perfectly paralleled by a long line of fences, or maybe perfectly line a road texture with those hedges and fences, instead of doing it all by hand.

So when you do a line tool you can make it blurry, wide, etc. I think it could be handy to give it a option to half the line. im not describing it the best but essentually think if you are using a line to do some shading, it could cut the line in half, having a flush unblurred side on one side while the other would be blurred as per normal. Attached is a very rudimentary example but gives the idea i was aiming at.
