Feature Requests

Short: Inkarnate notes that can be used and clicked by the DM in external Programms especially like Foundry, Roll 20 or simple things like a PDF-Reader or similar. It would be nice if we could save time while mapping making the preparing simultaneously for a session by taking notes for loot, story etc. At the moment if you make notes in inkarnate and you want to use them you need to open the map in inkarnate, you can't export them or use them otherwise. It's not useful to use the notes with a opened map in inkarnate (takes long to open, complicated, accidentally changes). What do you think?

Possibility to connect maps that can load when clicked. Useful for world building when having a World map, Regional Map and City Maps.

Ability to export the note tool lore added to map locations (either on its own as various themed PDF printouts, or a .zip folder with a .html version of the map revealing lore when clicking pins).

Allow us the change the color (even if just a few) of the note. It would be nice to be able to distinguish different notes just by looking at the color.

I would like to see an extension of the "note icon": Create categories + be able to distinguish them by colour Tick notes (or whole note categories) so that they are no longer hidden when you continue working on the map. show or hide whole categories by tick marks In addition, I would welcome a link within the notes by marking a word (or sentence), so that one is then forwarded directly to another note (differentiation perhaps by own naming of sender and recipient?). Why actually? Depending on how full or compressed my map is, there may not be enough space to write down the names of all the mountains, rivers, plains, forests, etc. But if, for example, I could use all blue slips for rivers & lakes, grey slips then for mountains & plains, then my own world map is only as full of slips as I designate it ;)

In the Notes tab, there seems to be no way to resize the window to fit titles neatly. There is also no way to change the font of the notes so that longer titles can fit on a single line and be displayed in a denser manner among other titles.

A way to see and edit all Notes without needing to load the map.

The ability to utilize the note system pins and instead of unmarked pins they are instead letters. Furthermore, a moveable hud that appears using the pin letter as the key and the title of the note as the value. This makes it so that we can mark districts on a city map was also indicating important places without having to use the text system.

I'd like to be able to associate any desired URL with a map object (stamp, text, note) and have an easy way to follow that link from the map. This would be useful, for instance, to link to a OneNote page describing the dungeon room, etc.

This feature would act similarly to the notes tool, but instead of giving you the ability to place notes it would instead let you highlight areas in order to keep track of stuff, could be used for mappings temperature, rainfall, air quality, ect...
