Have something to say?
Add an option for brushes to have lines/bucket tool
If I have to keep painting mosaics by hand, I am going to go mad
APP?
I would love for there to be a App maybe a APK app or one on IOS and Android it gets annoying sometimes to do it online.
abilty to hide/show layers on publish map without cloning them?
On my map of the city, as a DM, I have layer that are design to make thing easier to find (like a layer night that greyed all building that are useless in the city. Making it a lot easier for me to find the one a need) I would like to share the tool with my players but it’s not possible on a publish map. They could clone it and do it on their clone, but then, they need paying account (which they are not going to pay just to be able to see the map of the city :p). And their clone will be a dead copy of my map, so if i change something, it’s would never apear on their map. Would it be possible for a publish map to gave them the ability to mask/unmask layer? as an option when the map is published?
Notes public
Would it be possible to get an option to let the notes accessible when a map is published? it would be a cool way to share information about the lore of the city with the players. Currently, mine are taking a screenshot and comment it on miro, but it seems like a waste because I had already written evrything for them, except they cannot read it :’(
Option to use the 1.0 editor layout.
Came back to Inkarnate after awhile, I’ve tried using the new 2.0 layout, I can’t do it. I know that there are tutorials on how to use the new editor but I can’t do it, it feels like trying to make somebody who’s left handed write with their right hand, it’s more difficult and you get something worse. Not saying 2.0’s worse, it just doesn’t work for me. The new layout’s definitely more advanced with what it offers but it’s more advanced in the way that Photoshop is more advanced than Paint: It feels like it’s designed with the more advanced user in mind. Options that used to be right there when I clicked on something now requires an additional menu or two to be opened which is taking up even more screen space, limiting what I can view. It feels cluttered and suffocating. I just want a simple map maker. I’m just asking that we have the option to use the 1.0 editor. I don’t care if new features or assets can’t be used with it, I just want the old editor.
Zero support for switching to and from parchment style
As someone who uses Inkarnate for DnD, I often find myself wanting my world maps in both the parchment style and default/fantasy style. The default style is great for worldbuilding and giving players an overall view of the world, while the parchment is great for props/handouts. Currently though, that process is a nightmare beyond comprehension since not only do I need to replicate the original landmass (a headache) but also replace EVERY SINGLE ASSET. I understand that not all assets carry over, but most mountains and trees have an identical color/parchment design. A function that allows a map to be copied, in its most basic form, to another map style would be LIFECHANGING
Add Add/Subtract/Preview mode selection for Free, Pen and Brush subtools of the Shape Tool
In the Shape tool, instead of only offering Preview mode for Free and Pen sub tools and only Add mode for the Brush subtool, offer all 3 mode options same as for the shape sub tools.
Line/shape tools selection improvements
I would love for the line/shape tool selection to be line/node based, rather than object based. Especially with long/curved objects it becomes a mess immediately. It works well with stamps. It doesn’t at all with lines. In the circle, you can where my cursor is positioned. My goal is to select the line beneath that cursor The three red arrows show the lines I’m getting every time.
To many premium stamp tools
This app is overall really good, BUT I can't do anything without having to pay for it. I can't decorate or populate my maps because 90% of the stamp tools are "premium" (they are marked with a star and I have to pay for them, so, for me they’re called premium). I just want to have a better notion of my book's world but I can't without paying AT LEAST forty euros per year. I might not even use it for a whole year and you’re asking me, a teen author whose parents refuse to help, to pay for this? No way. I saw many people on tiktok recomending this app, but now, I genually can’t see the hype. I can’t work properly in this app if I have to pay for one single house/village/castel. The only thing I can use are mountains, flowers and trees. I might as well draw with pencil. And I know this might be a little bit overeacting, but I have used many websites where there’s a premium side of it and this is just absurd. #loweryourpricespls
Pay for Inkarnate Option
Listen I know subscriptions make you a lot of money. But it feels so nice and you would make more money if you allowed users to simply. Buy the plans of inkarnate and own them…. Please. I hate monthly and yearly subscriptions and paying upwards of 300+ dollars for Something I dont even own. So please, consider making a paying for option.

Regional pricing
Inkarnate is a nice site for making rpg maps, im sure it could get used all over the world but its almost unusable without premium and due to the only currency available being dollar it can get incredibly expensive for some countries. Making it just unavailable for most people of them and reducing sales on that countries. For example in R$ ( Brazillian real ) the cheapest monthly one being US$ 7,99 = R$ 40,78 and the monthly creator being R$ 76,49. ( About 5% of one’s monthly salary. ) Which is incredibly expensive and will make most people that need to make an map for whatever reason check inkarnate, like it, see its pricing and look for a cheaper alternative. I get that not adding regional pricing might be over the fear of a few people using VPN to pay cheaper but limiting the site for only USA users seems like a bad tradeoff, considering that you would be able to get more sales around the world and advertise it as a site with regional pricing available for multiple countries.
True Random Distribution For Area Placement
When using the Stamp tool to place many objects, such as trees, the density distribution is uniform. Each stamp is an approximate equal distance from each other stamp. This leads to an unnatural look because distribution in nature is not uniform. Can there be an optional check box for a true random distribution, or a distribution that doesn’t appear so uniform?
Copy Colour/Color Tweek Options
A useful copy paste system to automatically copy the 4 colours of the colour tweeks (Hue, Saturation, Brightness, Contrast) and a button to past colours from clip board It’d be two pretty simple buttons but invaluable for copying settings for similar stamps. Lets say you want to use the same roofing lines and stamples. With tokens of the same design intended to work together there’s no way to copy the settings over from one to another.
Referral System
A referral program or codes that people can share with a friend interested in joining the platform, that grants extra benefits for either or both users.
Feature Request: Detailed Sales Log & Analytics for Creators
Hi Inkarnate Team, I have a relatively simple implementation suggestion that would be a huge help for us Creators: could we get a detailed log of our sales? Currently, we only see a bulk, cumulative list of data from the past 9 months. While this aggregated data isn't useless, it lacks the granularity we need. The Request: At its most basic ("dead simple" static list), it would be great to just see which specific product or bundle was purchased on which day. (Simple log) Even better would be adding some basic filters (by date, product, etc.). Since this transaction data is already sitting in the database, hopefully, it just needs to be pushed to the frontend. Why this is important: Having a broken-down overview of our sales would allow Creators to better adapt to mapmakers' needs. If we can track trends and see exactly what kinds of assets are in demand, we can tailor our future creations to serve the community much better. Thanks in advance for considering this! 🙂
Feature Request: Guided World Generation & Generation Templates
Inkarnate's Generate tool for world maps is a great idea that could save a ton of time when creating world maps, but currently feels far too limited to be useful. At the moment you have no real choice but to blindly click ‘generate’ hoping to eventually find a landmass configuration that looks appealing. At the moment, the main control is essentially just a Water Percent slider, with no real control over where landmasses are generated or what overall structure the world has. I'd love to see Generate expanded with Generation Templates that provide a broad structure for the generation. For example: Pangaea / World Island – One large landmass surrounded by ocean. Archipelago – Numerous islands distributed across the map. Disaster Archipelago – A fragmented landmass suggesting an ancient cataclysm. Continents – A configurable number of major continents, with optional smaller islands. Supercontinent – One enormous continent with smaller surrounding landmasses. These could then have additional controls such as continent count, approximate size, land/water percentage and island density. Procedural Stamp Placement It would also be great to take some inspiration from the Heroes of Might and Magic III map generator and allow existing Inkarnate stamps to be placed procedurally according to the selected template and settings. For example, selecting Volcanic could cause volcanic/mountain stamps to be distributed in an appropriate pattern. Selecting Jungle could populate a particular region with jungle/vegetation assets. Extend Existing Masking to Generate Inkarnate already has several ways of creating masks. It would be great if masking functionality could also be extended to Generate. For example, the user could create a mask and tell Generate to: Only generate landmasses inside the mask. Only generate landmasses outside the mask. If Procedural Stamp / Texture placement is implemented, this would go hand-in-hand with masks, allowing users to do things like create a volcanic archipelago inside the mask. This would make it possible to constrain generation to a particular region, preserve manually-created geography, or combine procedural and manually-designed terrain.
export as texture
SO we can export stuff as composites but like can we get the option to export things as textures instead of just stamps? cause i got so many kitbashed textures id love to use without just cloning the map i made them on. cause that has limits. and i wanna paint those textures elsewere on my maps.
