Customizable Shortcuts / Hotkeys / Key Bindings

My biggest gripe with this editor is that I can't right click and drag to move the map. The other shortcuts are fine for me, but I'm sure it'd be an all around benefit to be able to configure those shortcuts to whatever you'd like.

    Key Binding Update

Could there be an update to allow remapping of key binds? Example: Rotation of objects from <> to arrow keys.

    Key Binding Options

A lot of people complain that Inkarnate has a poor/nonintuitive key control system that is very frustrating until you have practiced a bunch. Adding a section that allows users to choose which key bindings they use will fix this and will remove a major impediment to using Inkarnate!

I was just talking about this! I'd love to use the shortcuts more but some of them just feel very inconvenient so I'd love to be able to bind my own.

    Option to remap shortcuts

I've recently come across the following issue: After copying an object (ctrl+c) it not only pastes in with ctrl+v, but also when pressing the middle button of the mouse. Since that button is also linked to moving the map around, it gets annoying really quick.

Hence, I recommend adding an option for custom keyboard shortcuts as to avoid that (and similar) problems.

Please do this instead of changing the keybinds and frustrating us.

With the updates to the different Group Hot Keys, and with just the number of tools that have been added to Inkarnate this year, I think having the option to rebind Hot-Keys would allow Mappers to rebind hotkeys to what makes the most sense for their workflow.

This would allow people to utilize different tools and hand positions that may work better for them. You could get one of those fancy Gamer Mouses or accessibility keyboards and personalize the Hot Keys for your use. The rebinding process might also encourage people to experiment with the hotkeys a bit more, creating a menu or space where they can see all the different hotkey options.

+1 this is also important for accessibility.
