Trees that go above the camera view

It's difficult to make in-forest or jungle scenes when the leaves of the trees block our view of the ground. The tree stumps don't sell the illusion of the trees going above our POV. We could have trees and trunks that go up and fade away near the top to give the illusion they're reaching up past the camera. Tree shadows would also be nice, the sun shining between the leaves or dead branches
