Select tool addition to the shape tool similar to other software's "Smart Select"

A tool that let's you select the outline of an asset and apply shape tools to it. As of now when I want to retexture assets I need to go through a quite lengthy process of node-outlines. Sometimes I have to do this for 10-20 assets at a time. I think a smart select tool that immediately applies the shape to the outlines of the asset would be an amazing addition.
