Not all creators are members of discord or interract in reddit. This would be an awesome way to compliment people on their maps, ask questions about techniques, and make connections with other artists.
For those saying there's a discord, there are many reasons why people don't use social media. There are also people who don't know that Inkarnate even has a discord to begin with. Having "comments" as an opt-in feature would appease people who want to connect, while giving those who don't the ability to control their own posts.

If this could be changed to better communicate that "Creators" is referring to Inkarnators (users of the program, not creators of the art made with the program) I think it would be more clearly understood. Having a comment section that can be enabled and disabled for published work is a great idea.

Callums Compass Yeah, I'm actually trying to do that myself but I don't see the option. I'll ask someone from the staff.

Being able to comment on published maps would be nice.
As for the rest: Inkarnate already has an opt-in messaging feature. It's called their Discord server.

A feature like this would be critical to giving support to artists- Perhaps even help reach out to specific artists regarding commissions even.
