Double click in select on path switching to PT2 too often..

It seems like a double click on a path switches to PT2.

This would be fine but adjusting very slight things often accidentily opens the tool, Meaning I have to switch back over and over.

This is very frustrating, Perhasp there is something that can be switched on or off. Or make the tool switch into a hot key insted of a double click.
