Consistent Names for Stamps and Tags

There really should be an overhaul of how stamps are named and tagged. I know they've tried to do this at various points in the past, but I don't think it has ever been done well, in my opinion.

So many stamps are just variations of the same thing. Yet most of these variations have different names, which makes searching for them very difficult. For example, I can search "dish" or "plate" or "dinnerware" and get different results for each.

Tags were supposed to help with this, but they frankly aren't well organized. For example, in the Fantasy Battlemap set, the #winter tag only brings up stamps from the Snow and Ice subset, even though there are several other snowy/wintry themed stamps elsewhere. And on the other hand, certain stamps that have the #winter tag don't make too much sense to me; the Rustic Nordic Desk has the #winter tag, but it doesn't really have anything to do with winter (naming it "Nordic" doesn't make it aesthetically winter-themed).

I realize that there are hundreds of stamps at this point, so renaming them and reorganizing them would be a big task. Perhaps a short-term solution would be to offer a custom organization option, where users can create their own private tags that they can apply to stamps. Or perhaps create custom folders where they can physically sort stamps into.

    There are indeed a lot of assets to be managed in tags and names to be made searchable. It's a continuous process where we keep improving issues we and our users find.

    I took at look at your examples. I would argue that Dish and Plate are two different things (one with food, the other without). But I agree, Plate and DInnerware should be improved.

    I checked the winter tag. The only thing I found missing were snowy trees in regional and world style. Which are other winter assets that miss the tag?

      Philipp: I apologize, I misspoke in my original post. It's not just in the battlemap set, but throughout all the stamps on Inkarnate there's stamps that are missing from the Winter tag (I'm currently working on a winter-themed battlemap, so I think that was fresh in my mind).

      From what I can tell, stamps I've noticed that are not included in the Winter tag: In the Fantasy Battlemap set, in addition to the ones you mentioned, there is also the Snow from the effects subset.

      In the Fantasy Regional set: Icebergs and Ice Caves don't show up in the Winter tag.

      In the Fantasy World set: snow hills don't show up in the Winter tag.

      I hope I don't sound too nitpicky. I think I focused my original post on the wrong thing. The real suggestion I wanted to make was more the option for users to create our own custom/private tags, where we can sort stamps in a way that makes sense for each user.
