Animated Exports

This is not asking Inkarnate to animate maps as thats just an insane amount of work! However, it is pretty tedious to make any sort of semi animated map in inkarnate as of now. you have to make different exports and stitch them together in a third party software.

I propose Animated Exports!

With animated exports you first create your map without the parts you want to animate, then with the new layering system, you make "animated layers" marked as such with a checkbox. And give them a number based on the sequence.

Using these animated layers (which on their own are just layers) you can modify and move whatever you need just like you build any other map. Since these edits are in marked layers, the software can export the main map with each marked layer individually and place them back to back as a GIF or other type of animated media based on number.

This pairs very well with the token maker requests

where the token frames could be glimmering silver or gold to show legendary tokens.
