When holding a modifier key such as shift or ctrl, the brush of the Mask or Brush tool should snap and only make straight lines in 15° angles.

lock your cursor to a ruler. By holding the Ctrl or Alt key, you constrain your drawing direction to be either perfectly horizontal or vertical. This would ensure that your lines remain straight along the axis you initiate while holding the left mouse button.

Snap cursor direction for mask & brush tools

Something I'd like to be able to do when editing backgrounds, foregrounds, and masks is hold a key (like shift, ctrl, etc) and lock my cursor into going up, down, left, and right, so that I don't have to keep using the rectangle shape option to achieve straight lines. I'd love to be able to even go diagonally as well for those nice diagonal lines that I can't easily achieve with a mouse

It would be great if this also worked with Lines/Paths

If this could be similar to the same functionality that the path tool has when holding shift, I could see this being helpful for things like roads in city maps or creating interesting floor patterns in battlemaps.
