Most battlemap software includes an option to snap your objects, walls, etc to the grid allowing a more exact measurement without the hassle of lining them up perfectly by eye.

The lack of snap to grid and wall tools is making me consider other options. I really have enjoyed Inkarnate but the lack of these is really frustrating.

Is there an ETA on this? Myself and my DnD group all want to go pro but the tedious wall placement is stopping is from doing it! This would be perfect if there was the option to snap to grid.

Can we have it done like in DungeonDraft please? For now it's really a killer feature of DD to be able to put walls just drawing lines, it works even with shapes like circles.

I have found that I've been using an external graphics program, and am exporting maps with the desired assets in a separate part of the map where it's easy to cut them to their own layers and then I can use guides to place things where my OCD says they go. So much more peaceful than trying to wrestle them like greased pigs currently. Super-looking forward to the snap to grid feature coming to stamps. Thanks, from me and my OCD, to the Inkarnate team for taking the feedback and working toward the culmination of this goal!

I'm an AutoCAD designer and wholeheartedly agree with this feature. Trying to line up modular buildings and walls is a big pain when you are trying to keep things uniform and not end up with opposite sides of different lengths. ACAD lets you toggle the snap on/off so you aren't stuck with it all the time. This would be a major time saver!
