Option for no end cap on a color stroke line

Currently you can only choose between a round or square end cap, with no way to remove it from a color stroke in the line tool. For a lot of purposes this is fine, but in specific use cases it causes some issues. For example, if you put a colored line exactly underneath a clip mask line it causes a large segment of the color to jut out from underneath the clip

Why would you place two lines directly under each other?
Seems like you would like to have a line with a clip fill and a small outline? I'd suggest using a shape instead of two lines for this use case.

Philipp here's an example of a map where I'm using this technique for rivers (in the EA layer system), but already having cleaned up all the solid lines sticking out at the ends. I feel it would be much more difficult to create this with the shape tool and keep the river a consistent width throughout. I don't necessarily think that this is the only reason it would be good to be able to remove end caps from color stroke lines though, just the specific issue I'm coming up against

Felice: Thanks for the example, interesting usecase.

Philipp its not only two lines under each other. say you have paths created with this, and you want to resize the path when you take a section of a large worldmap, but the path ends exactly at a line or point you want to keep, every end node has to be fixed.
this way is also much more consistant with the textured lines where they end right at the node when there is no endcap.
