Maps within maps (Map-ception)

I'd like to be able to create clickable regions within my world map that take me to a regional map. It could essentially be the same tool as the "resize" where an area is selected, but this time, it can be embedded with a link to a smaller map. The same could be done for cities and buildings too.

This would be a great feature. I'm using the resize tool to keep expanding one of my modern city maps. Eventually it will get so large I will have to create regional maps of it. This feature would do beautifully for that

This is what's keeping me on free, I can't find a single tutorial proving it can be done with inkarnate.
Otherwise I'd show my players a pretty map and beg for 5 bucks xd

I'm just now starting map making in general and this is one of the first ideas I thought to want. To add to this, it would be amazing if they were effectively "father" and "son" maps, where the "son" maps could be something like auto-refresh-on-save/load stamps that apply to each generation above them, allowing for great, zoomable detail, with fewer individual assets on the highest scale maps, and saving a lot of work on the end of creators that make entire worlds. Especially if this is done as I just described, once a regional son map is created, the stamp that it becomes would just apply over what is already there on whatever layer inkarnate (or the creator) decides is dedicated, and could be used as a stencil to make a simplified version for clarity without any worry of mistranslating locations or distances or anything, and then be hidden just like any other asset within the father's map files.

Agreed, I've wanted this option for so long. Just adding to it a little bit. If they made the option to outline a specific area of the map and create a new map from the outlined area. It could just be a square or a grid of a pre-selected size, that would be fine. Then when you click on that grid it takes you to another map.
It would also be great if it woudl auto-generate a scaled up map for you to work on if you haven't created one already to link. Basically just taking that area and putting it in another map and then increasing the pixel density to make it easier to work with.
An example, would be a world map, that can be scaled into various regional maps, which can then be scaled into smaller regions, which can then be scaled into a bunch of individual maps like city maps and location maps.
Honestly even if they don't make this an option for a very long time I'd be happy if they atleast gave us the option of scaling maps from small sections of larger maps. If I could crop a portion of my map and import that into anther map then increase the pixel density while keeping the same rough shape, even if the shape does change slightly. That would be great!
