Instead of only being able to select stamps in a rectangular area, being able to choose if you want your select tool shape to be: rectangular, circular, polyline or freehand would be extremely helpful. This is a common feature in image editors, for example.

Also many maps don't align in rectangles so trying to select areas of stamps gets difficult.
