Ability to Open Multiple Maps in Desktop App

I understand I can open a new window/instance if I want multiple maps opened, but I would much prefer tabs, vertical or horizontal or the option for either. In addition to the new window, not in lieu of. One thing I immediately missed from the website (using new browser tabs) to the app. Thank you for the consideration.

I would LOVE to have tabs in the app. Even though chrome is less stable, I still find myself using it over the app because of that alone.

Foo on top of that, im pretty sure that current system of multiple maps essentially creates multiple instances of a chromium browser which aint good.
