New to Inkarnate? Our new built-in tutorial will help you learn the basics and create your first map step by step.

The tutorial guides you through the process of creating a world map while introducing you to the essential tools and controls of the Inkarnate editor.

Simply follow the guided steps directly inside the editor and learn by building your map as you go. No subscription is required to complete the tutorial.

How to Access It

New users will be invited to start the tutorial after creating their account, but you can also access it at any time from the Tutorials section in the main menu.

You can also get started by cloning the Tutorial Template Map from the Dashboard.

This is our first built-in tutorial, with more planned for the future, including a tutorial focused on creating battlemaps.

We've expanded the Inkarnate Dashboard with a new collection of cloneable map templates designed to help new creators get started faster.

Each template features a common map scenario and can be cloned, customized, and built upon to fit your adventure.

These map templates were made so they are fully usable for Free users too, giving them a faster and easier way to begin creating maps.

We’ve introduced a brand new Dashboard experience to help you jump back into creating faster and discover more of what Inkarnate has to offer.
