Dive in!

New Path Tool Mode: Segments

This highly requested feature adds a new option for drawing straight line segments with the Path Tool.

Now you can easily create straight paths between locations, compass lines, or even borders.

Note: To finish drawing a path on this path tool mode: Double Click / Right Click / Esc / Enter

Blur Objects

You can now blur objects using a Gaussian blur. This can apply to stamps, text labels, as well as paths. You can find the Blur option in the Stamp, Text, and Path tools (left panel).

New Blur Filter

Similar to how the Blur Objects feature works, this new filter allows you to blur an entire map or showcase specific areas of the map by experimenting with the Layer setting.

Filter Flattening

You now can flatten a filter and everything beneath it with a single action. This applies to all objects below the filter and the foreground layer. This can be useful for performance, or if you wanted to blur an area of the scene and have other areas above it appear unblurred.

Example:

If you want to have a blurred background with unblurred landmasses/buildings that make use of the mask/brush tools, you can flatten the blurred background, then create the remaining unblurred elements after.

New Grid Shape: Vertical Hexagons

In addition to the existing Horizontal Hexagons shape, we're introducing a new grid shape: Vertical Hexagons. Both hex grid options are greatly suited for campaigns that involve distance calculating and travelling.

We hope you find these additions useful, and that they expand on your creative possibilities. Let us know what you think about these new editor capabilities!
