Shift-mouse wheel stops working to resize brush

I posted this a long time ago (2 years-ish) and later updated it with steps to reproduce, but now I can’t find it.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Load a map.

2. Switch to brush.

3. Shift + mouse wheel resizes brush correctly.

   Switch to rectangle brush (or ellipse or polygon).

   Lay down an outline (don’t need to apply)

   Go back to the circular shape brush (the default).

   Shift + mouse wheel no longer works, and it will never work again until you reload the map.

   This bug is really annoying. Each time it happens, I either live with it slowing me down, or stop-save-reload the map to get it working again. And it happens often (at least for me), and has been a bug for a long time now.

This happens in both the webpage and the app.
