Regular Style Maps switching on load up to Custom layer setting

This has happened to me twice now. Maps i have started in the standard editor ,Upon reloading to edit at a later date upload as if i had selected the Custom layer option . i exit and reload and no change. All the assets are in a mix of jumbled layers. Tried cloning the map also no change.
