Randomize Stamps not working

Selecting randomize stamps only works when holding down left-click to spawn multiple stamps in a row, but not when individually placing multiple stamps. Each time I place a stamp, I can see that the selected stamp briefly flickers to another one, but then reverts to the original stamp I had selected when I attempt to place another.
