"open the stroke catalog" doesn't change caps.

  1. Create a shape with a portal with caps on or a line with caps on.

  2. Open "advanced stroke options."

  3. Open "Open the stroke catalog."

  4. Select a different stroke option.

  5. The caps do not change from this option.
